  • MY FIRST BOYFRIEND

Hello. Welcome to my new blog. My inspiration is from Datingish's post -- Friday Fun: When Did You Start Dating?. While adding a comment to that post, it reminded me of my first boyfriend. So I decided to write about him for the very first time in my entier life. I never told anyone the full story before. So here goes..
It all began when I was in 3rd grade. I was about 9 years old and I was still innocent. Well I had a crush on a boy in my class called Nick (*Name has been changed for personal reasons).. I think that the reason I liked him was because I thought he was cute. Anyway, I never told him that. I was just to shy to do so and therefore, it kept as a secret between me and my 3 best friends at that time. But then one day during recess, my best friends went to tell him that I like him! After that, I decided to go ask him if he likes me back because I was wondering. Well in fact, he did and so somehow I became his girlfriend right away. I told everyone who knew, not to tell anyone else but my best friends went to tell our teacher. She was really nice about it. She told the girl who was sitting next to Nick to exchange seats with mine. The girl was pretty jealous because I think that she likes him too but she had no other choice. At home, on the same day, while eating dinner I decided to tell my parents about it. So I said "Dad, Mom.. I have a boyfriend." My dad burst out right away "WHAT? No. You can't have one. No!" I was shocked to hear that because I didn't expect my parents to say something like that at all. We have never talked about relationships and things like that yet. Perhaps it's because my parents thought me and my sisters were to young. Well my mom, on the other hand, said that it was okay. But then she said "You guys can be friends." I didn't understand what was wrong with having a boyfriend. At that time, I thought that it was totally normal to have a boyfriend. My parents took it really serious so I decided to stop talking about it. That's why I never told them about my present boyfriend. Then a  few days after that, my class had a field trip. We went on some sort of boat for sightseeing. Nick's mom was there to help take care of the children. She told the teacher who told me, that Nick told his mom everything about us. I was so so embarrassed! So life just went on as normal. Nothing really changed. And then at the end, we finally broke up. I think that it lasted only a few months or less? The reason that we broke up was because I had to moved to a new school because of my dad's job. I'm not sure whether I was sad of not.. I really don't remember how I felt.
Well our relationship was not very serious. In fact, it wasn't serious at all! We were still very young.. it was quite point less actually. We didn't go out on dates because we were too young to do that. His house and my house weren't even close to each other. The furthest we got to is a smack on the lips and that's all.
Now.. years has passed by.. I have never spoken to him since the last day I saw him at school. I lost his number or perhaps I didn't even have it at the first place. I don't know. He didn't have an email address at that time so we just completely lost contact. I still keep an old picture of him which I took at that time. Sometimes, I wonder how he looks like right now or where he is. But you know, I never do anything about that. I don't try finding him or anything. Perhaps it's because I think that there's probably no point.. After all, it's all just memories now, right?.. xoxo

Third grade? Wow, I didn't get my first crush until 5th grade and my first "boyfriend" until 6th grade. I guess maybe I was a late bloomer in that regard though. Most of my friends had crushes before that.

I miss people from my past, I wish I could find them somehow, you know just randomly run into them or something. But meeting up with them again could totally crush the good memories we have. Seeing them now could just really hurt us.

I had my first crush in first grade. We finally talked about it and became a couple in sixth grade. Lasted about six months.

I like to keep up with people from my past too. I talked to my first boyfriend about a year ago. He was living with his brother (he had moved a long time ago), working at Whataburger, and was expecting a child with his current girlfriend.

It's interesting to see where people go.

Hey, thank you so much!!  Awh, that story is cute...

You sure got a jump start! I didn't get a boyfriend until I was in eleventh grade.  But I started getting crushes in kindergarten.

I loooove that flickr strawberry picture! It's great!
